Not easy to migrate one of the most popular software in the PC world without disappointing. Google Earth successfully bet the Touch, iPhone, iPod Touch etiPad. Only one word to say: wow!

New in version 7.0.0
The latest version offers new tours of your favorite cities, historical sites and natural wonders. You can also fly over entire cities in 3D. Start by exploring Los Angeles, Boston, San Francisco, Geneva and Rome (Feature available on iPhone and iPad 4S 2 or later).

Porting successful on iPhone and iPod.
Google Earth by itself justifies the purchase of an iPhone or iPod Touch. I exaggerate, but porting is so successful that the Apple machine becomes even more attractive.

The Google Earth application is running stride and navigation is a joy. As if from the beginning, it was that ergonomics was expected. Zoom, rotate, point, anything is possible. Tilting the iPhone and you switch to 3D view. Brilliant use of the accelerometer, intuitive, great.

Integration Wikipedia and Panoramio
Google Earth also uses the GPS (iPhone) to your location, and offers the added direct links to Wikipedia and Panoramio for more details (text and photos) on the area flown. Eagerly awaited the arrival of StreetView to discover whether integration has been thought through.
In the meantime, a small compass can point automatically north in case.

Google Earth for iPhone and iPad? A marvel of free application to be missed under any circumstances.
